Every year I tell myself I'll keep the holiday collection small. And every year I end up in my kitchen, surrounded by fragrance bottles, saying "okay, just one more."
This year I stopped at five. (Okay, five and a half. More on that later.)
Here's who made the cut, and why.
🍫 Peppermint Cocoa
The scent of a mug of hot chocolate with a candy cane stirred in. Cool peppermint up front, rich cocoa underneath. It's cozy and fresh at the same time, which makes it the one I keep reaching for on gray Central New York mornings.
Perfect for: the friend who starts drinking peppermint mochas the day after Halloween.
🌟 Frankincense & Myrrh
The classic. Warm, resinous, and a little bit grown-up. This is the scent for anyone who loves the quiet, candlelit side of the season more than the tinsel-and-inflatables side.
Perfect for: dads, grandparents, and anyone whose favorite holiday tradition is the Christmas Eve service.
🧚 Sugar Plum Fairy
Sweet, fruity, and just a little bit magical. If you grew up watching The Nutcracker (or dancing in it), this one will feel like coming home.
Perfect for: teachers, daughters, and the person on your list who still gets excited about snow.
✨ Silver Sparkle
Bright, crisp, and clean, like the first morning after a big snowfall when everything glitters. It's the fresh, airy option for anyone who doesn't love sweet scents.
Perfect for: the minimalist, the neat freak, and anyone who'd rather smell clean than cookie.
🎄 Christmas Spice
Warm spices that smell like the kitchen on baking day. Comforting, nostalgic, and the closest thing to a hug that comes in bar form. It also does double duty in our men's holiday sets, because it turns out guys love smelling like a cozy fireplace too.
Perfect for: literally everyone. If you're stuck, pick this one.
And the half? Candy Cane.
Candy Cane didn't make the full lineup this year, but I couldn't leave it out completely. It's making a little cameo in our stocking stuffers, because what's a stocking without a candy cane?
